Domestic EMC Testing
Domestic equipment is generally defined as household electrical appliances, electric tools, regulating controls using semi-conductors, motor-driven electro-mechanical devices and electric toys. We have tested most domestic products from hair driers to tumble driers.
Domestic equipment is currently covered by EN55014-1 emissions and EN55014-2 immunity EMC standards.
Some simple products will only require emissions testing as they will comply with the immunity requirements by virtue of their non-electronic design.
Many parts of the testing process have been automated to assure customers a fast turn around and cost-effective testing. We have a water supply plumbed into our chamber at Chandlers Ford for equipment requiring mains pressure.
We are regularly testing domestic products for worldwide certification and can advise on specific country requirements.
